Join Us for Poetry and Prose at Nelson Library!
It's time to showcase your creativity at our Poetry and Prose event, where diverse voices and varied genres come together for an afternoon of literary performance. Welcome poets, writers, musicians, magicians, comedians, and artists of all kinds. We hope you can join us either in the audience or in front of the audience. All are welcome. Poetry and Prose will be the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4 PM. Let’s share our talents and enjoy ourselves in the spirit of community!"
Event Details:
Mixed Genres: From your writings of poetry to short stories, novel excerpts to personal anecdotes or blog posts—bring forth your literary treasures. Variety keeps the audience engaged, offering a tapestry of perspectives.
Time Limit: Each participant gets 10 minutes to share their work, ensuring everyone has the chance to captivate the audience.
Audience Interaction: Engage with the audience through Q&A or feedback after each reading, fostering a sense of community and connection.
Promotion: Spread the word! Share our event on social media, posters in the library, local newsletters, and community boards to gather participants and audience members.
Accessibility: Our event will be accessible to all. Please let us know if you have any specific needs.
Respectful Environment: We prioritize a safe and supportive space for all. Ground rules will ensure everyone feels respected and comfortable sharing their work. Please share creations that are family friendly.
Tea will be available and you are welcome to bring a snack to share.
